Barnhart-Reese is has completed Phase II Modernizations to Mission Middle School for the Escondido Union School District.
Nine existing classroom buildings have been modernized and two existing classroom buildings received modernizations and additions. The existing Library Building has been modernized and converted to an Administration Building, and a new fire alarm system was installed to upgrade four existing buildings. The sidewalk around the classroom buildings has been removed and replaced and new walkway canopies constructed north of the modernized classroom buildings.
Several buildings were demolished to make way for a new plaza adjacent to the Multi-Purpose Room. All relocatable buildings on the campus have been demolished, including at the east of the campus, where a new parking area was constructed. The south playfield has been regraded and received new infiltration basins and new fencing has been built fronting the campus. The site received new irrigation and drought tolerant landscaping to complete the fresh new look of the campus.
