The 4.1-acre East Village Green Community Park will contain a 13,657 square foot, 2-story community center with gymnasium, multipurpose room, training kitchen and commercial kitchen, conference room and offices. The park includes a children’s playground, off-leash dog parks, water fountain feature, rock climbing wall, games area, public restrooms, and a 176 space, 2-level underground parking garage with vegetative roofing. The dog park is 12,500 square feet and includes hills, a loop trail, artificial turf, DG walking path, benches, and path lighting for evening strolls.

New utilities will be installed in both G and 14th Streets at approximately 6-8 feet below ground surface. The project requires the moving of two historic buildings. The Historic Murray Apartment Buildings and Daggett Family Residence will be relocated within the APE and rehabilitated according to the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties.

The buildings located at 764 14th Street, 1330-1340 G Street, and 705 14th Street will be demolished.
