Barnhart-Reese is the Design-Build contractor for this new 2-story Full Motion Trainer (FMT) facility for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. The 10,428 square foot FMT facility centralizes infrastructures at ACU-5, and consolidates all aspects of training into one physical location. The new training facility will provide operational support for home-ported LCAC detachments, as well as virtual and hands-on training for maintenance and operator/crews. The building includes one FMT high bay space to house the new Ship to Shore Connector (SSC) vehicle simulator, a computer room with a raised floor to support the simulator, 7 classrooms, a Next Generation Enterprise Network (NGEN) room, FMT maintenance office with parts storage, and supporting spaces.
