Barnhart-Reese Construction completed tenant improvements for Rady Children’s Hospital in its new Chula Vista medical office. The space features a patient lobby, waiting areas, staff offices, break areas, doctor offices, and exam rooms. The 6,402 square foot office includes a complete build-out of the medical office spaces, including installation of HVAC, plumbing, and electric/data infrastructure and wiring. In addition, new casework window coverings, paint, carpet, tile were added, as well as installation of owner-provided modular office furniture systems.
Construction was completed directly above the Sharp Cancer Center Infusion Center and its treatment patio, so Barnhart-Reese implemented measures and scheduling procedures to prevent noise and disruption to the cancer patients so as to not detract from the tranquil environment of the operational infusion center.
