Barnhart-Reese Construction completed tenant improvements for Sharp Healthcare in its new Tech Way facility. The building remodel measured 43,813 square feet over two stories, with the Sharp Foundation and Facilities offices on the first level, with the Sharp HealthPlan offices on the second floor. Scope of work included complete build-out of the office spaces, new floor plans, including installation and updates to HVAC, plumbing, and electric/data infrastructure and wiring. In addition, new casework window coverings, paint, carpet, and tile were added, as well as installation of owner-provided modular office furniture systems. Staff conference, administration areas, multi-purpose, lobby, lounge, and breakrooms were also added. Lobby enhancements included a new, open staircase. The project was completed on schedule.
Due to the need for Sharp HealthPlan to occupy the second-story space prior to scheduled completion, Barnhart-Reese employed project phasing and barrier systems to allow the second-story occupants to move in while the lobby and downstairs offices were under construction.
